No 4th Place Play Off for Premier League
Premier League clubs have decided against introducing a playoff to decide the taker of England's fourth Champions League spot.

The proposed playoff would have seen the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh-placed clubs playing each other to decide which of them went into the Champions League qualifying stages.

"We gave a lot of discussion, a lot of detail, a lot of data,” said Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore, as reported by Reuters. “But there was not enough support to take the idea forward, so we won't be discussing that proposal any further.”
