United fans anger at away ticket charge
|

The Independent Manchester United Supporters’ Association (IMUSA) has described the English Premier League club’s plans to charge fans for the right to apply for away tickets as a “cynical” move.
After freezing season ticket prices for next season, United is considering scrapping its loyalty scheme for away games and charging £20 for the membership of a travel club. “Supporters would be paying £20 for what would feel like a one-in-50,000 chance of getting a ticket,” IMUSA spokesman Mark Longden told UK newspaper The Guardian. The club’s 15-member official fans’ forum will discuss the idea in a meeting today with chief executive David Gill. |
